Welcome to the Blair County Pickleball Club (BCPC)
We are a club of pickleball enthusiasts in and around Altoona, PA.
The Blair County Pickleball Club is committed to promoting the fun, fellowship and exercise of pickleball, the fastest growing sport in the country.
Free beginner lessons will be offered every Wednesday in September from 6 - 7:30 pm at Garfield Park. Paddles are provided.
All levels of play are welcome.
Hot July Club News
Next Board meeting is set for August 21st. July meeting minutes are posted (See Board of Directors tab)
The annual club town hall meeting is set for August 17 @ the Garfield gazebo, 10 am. (bring chairs)
Three new courts are available for play at Duncansville Memorial Park (Sunbrook Manor). Sign up sheets are available on PickleballDen but courts can NOT be reserved. The courts are open to the public from dawn till dusk. Note these are temporary courts intended to gauge interest before installing permanent courts.
The grand opening for the 12 new courts at Gorilla House is set for July 22nd! No more taping lines! All previously established club play times at Gorilla House (GH) can be reserved all summer long by calling GH directly (pending availability). Club rates still apply. See below for club hours at GH.
Frankstown Township (Hollidaysburg) has secured a bid to build two lighted pickleball courts at Memorial Park in Geeseytown. Courts are expected to be finished by this fall!
Instructors are needed for beginner lessons on each Wednesday for the month of September (See Bob Dupont)
